Skate Loft offers a variety of skateboard lessons and camps year round. The programs are intended for all skill levels from beginner to advanced. The main purpose of our programs is to benefit participants by providing a fun learning environment, while presenting clear instruction of how to develop skateboarding skills in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Throughout instruction, emphasis is placed on safety and staying within one's ability, yet having fun and learning when to push boundaries. Participants will also learn about skatepark flow, skatepark etiquette, stretching and healthy lifestyle, equipment terminology and maintenance, and the various styles of skateboarding.
If you have not joined us before, we require you to submit a permission form for your child. A printable copy of the waiver can be found here.
The Skate Loft Summer Camp program will be starting its 8th year, and is the longest running skateboard-only camp in Toronto. As the owners and instructors, Yash Presswalla and Everett MacLean have a combined 20+ years of experience teaching skateboarding.
The program is intended for kids aged 6-13 of all skill levels, from absolute beginner to advanced. Each day of camp consists of group lessons/individual instruction, free skate time, and other games and activities. Participants will learn skills appropriate to their current ability, as well as about skatepark flow and etiquette, stretching and healthy lifestyle, equipment terminology and maintenance, and the various styles of skateboarding.
The cost of camp is $250/week, running from Monday to Friday, 9:00AM - 4:00PM (optional extended care from 8:30-5:00). Drop-off will be at the Stan Wadlow Clubhouse in the morning (373 Cedarvale Ave.), and pick-up at the skatepark, on the east side of Stan Wadlow Park.
